A device for introducing gases into liquids, in particular for introducing oxygen in effluent treatment plants, comprises a tubular porous gas introduction body which is arranged in the liquid and into which gas can be introduced via a feed line. After passing through the porous pipe wall, the gas enters the liquid in the form of small gas bubbles. The gas introduction body is open at both its end faces and is connected at these end faces to the feed line, so that grid-type arrangements and the like can be made up in a simple manner.
