PURPOSE:To solve the problem of heating of an electromagnet for a device, which is provided with electromagnet devices on a car body side member and on a wheel side member, and which changes suspension characteristics through the control of its magnetized current, by providing a cooling means for cooling the electromagnet device. CONSTITUTION:In an electromagnet device 3 of a magnetic suspension device, the lower end of an electromagnet 5 in the car body side is pivotally supported on a lower arm 22, and is fixed to the inner bottom part of a cylinder 31 extended upward, passing an upper arm 21. An electromagnet 4 in the car body side, is fixed to the lower end of a rod 32, the upper part of which is mounted on a car body side member, and which is thus inserted into the cylinder 31 in such a way that the rod is slid freely. In this structure, a blower device 34, for example, is provided on a car body panel 23, and by blowing cool wind from a blowing duct 35 extended from the blower device 34, to the electromagnet device 3, the electromagnet device 3 is cooled. The degradation of function of each electromagnet 4, 5 due to the elevation in temperature is inhibited, while the deterioration of peripheral member due to the generation of the heat by each electromagnet 4, 5, and the infiltration of the heat can thus be prevented. |
