PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive load from being imposed on an engine, from a generator and secure stable engine speed, when a vehicle is driven by a motor, in a hybrid four-wheel drive car whose one driving wheel is driven by the engine, where output of the engine is partially converted into electric power by the generator, in order to be supplied to the motor, and the other driving wheel of which is driven by the motor. SOLUTION: The hybrid four-wheel drive car, whose front wheels 6 are driven by the engine 1 and whose rear wheels 9 are driven by the motor 4, is equipped with the engine 1, the generator 3 which makes the output of the engine 1 partially converted into electric power, and the motor 4 which is supplied with the electric power from the generator 3, so as to perform power running. In this case, a controller 10 computes available torque based on a value (surplus torque) obtained by subtracting a torque, required for the stable engine speed, from an estimated engine torque, and the torque consumption of the generator 3 or a drive torque of the motor 4 is limited to be the available torque or smaller. |
