PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer image receiving sheet with excellent adhesiveness of a protective layer on an image and with good quality of the image when the protective layer is formed by heat transfer on the image prepared with a chelated coloring matter. SOLUTION: In the heat transfer image receiving sheet comprising a base material sheet and a receiving layer provided on the base material sheet, the heat transfer image receiving sheet is characterized by the receiving layer comprising a metal source, a protective layer adhesion holding agent and a binder resin.
