PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording body, especially the ink-jet recording body with excellent high gloss, ink absorbing properties, water resistance, weatherability, high printing density and color developing properties. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet recording body provided with an ink receiving layer on an opaque substrate, the ink-jet recording body is characterized by the substrate being a polyethylene-laminated paper and the ink receiving layer having a laminar constitution with at least one layer and at least said one layer being a layer containing colloid particles and a water-soluble resin as main ingredients and the colloid particles being silica manufactured by a wet method and being finely divided colloid particles in which the primary particles has the particle diameter of 3-40 nm and an aggregate aggregated of the primary particles is finely divided into the secondary particles with the mean particle diameter of 10-300 nm by a mechanical means (except dry grinding). |
