PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor-driven power steering device, with excellent feeling of steering, which can accurately control a brush-less motor while maintaining reliability of a control means. SOLUTION: This electric motor-driven power steering device comprises an electric motor 6, a steering torque detection means (steering torque sensor) TS, an electric motor speed detection means 13, an electric motor current detection means 12, a target current setting means (target current setting part) 40, a driven control means (drive control part) 50, and an electric motor drive means (electric motor drive circuit) 51, the electric motor 6 constituting of a brush-less motor. The electric motor-driven power steering device is characterized by having a control means (control device) 4 constituted by including the target current setting means 40 and a drive means (driving gear) 5 constituted by including the drive control means 50 and the electric motor drive means 51 and inputting an electric motor speed signal PMO, and having the control means 4 and the drive means 5 separately arranged and connected electrically by a communication cable. |
