PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten initial charge time and to enhance productivity. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery 1 having positive and negative electrodes 2 and 4 each comprising an active material doped with or dedoped of lithium and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution lying between the positive and negative electrodes 4 and 4, when the battery 1 is initially charged, atmospheric temperature is kept in a range not lower than 45 deg.C and not higher than 60 deg.C, and an initial charging current flowing through a portion where the positive electrode 4 confronts the negative electrode 2 is kept in a range not smaller than 4 mA/cm<2> and not larger than 10 mA/cm<2> . |
