PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly clone a new DNA including region encoding proteins from cDNA library originating from a whole brain of adult human, a hippocampus of adult human and a whole brain of human fetus, determine base sequences of these and identify functions of these. SOLUTION: This DNA includes the base sequence encoding the following polypepetide (a) or (b): (a) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence the same or substantially the same to an amino acid sequence manifested by either one of the specific sequences: sequence number 1-45 (refer to the specification), (b) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having an amino acid deleted, substituted or added in either one of the amino acid sequences of the specific sequences: sequence number 1-45 (refer to the specification) and having substantially the same biological activity to the function of the polypepetide of (a), a recombinant peptide encoded by the DNA and a protein including the polypeptide. |
