RARE EARTH MAGNET AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the magnetic properties of a magnet by improving the properties of an alloy powder for a rare earth magnet. SOLUTION: The production method includes a first pulverizing stage where a raw material alloy for a rare earth magnet is coarsely pulverized and a second pulverizing stage where the raw material alloy is finely pulverized. In the first pulverizing stage, for raw material alloy is pulverized by using a hydrogen pulverizing method. In the second pulverizing stage, hyperfine powders easy to be oxidized (having a grain size of <=1.0 μm) are removed, and the piece ratio of the hyperfine powders is controlled to <=10% of the whole of the powders.
