PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate only a specified paper money in a purge container by drawing paper sheets other than paper moneys from a preserving means, storing these paper sheets in the purge container after a purge operation and separating the paper moneys stored in that purge container from the paper sheets. SOLUTION: In the process of purge operation, more than one sheet of paper moneys 24 are stored in a purge container 84, and paper sheets 25 except these paper moneys 24 stored in the purge container 84 are preserved in a lower cassette 21 as a preserving means. Then, a paper sheet 25' drawn from that lower cassette 21 and after the purge operation, this paper sheet 25' is stored in the purge container 84. The paper moneys 24 stored in the purge container 84 are separated from the paper sheet 25' through continuous purge operations in this state by paper sheet processing means 18, 54, 70 and 72. Thus, only the specified paper money 24 in the purge container 84 can be discriminated. |
