Cross-linked vinyl] chloride graft copolymer used as release agent in thermoplastics processing

The use of cross-linked vinyl chloride (VC) graft copolymers (I) as a release agent in thermoplastic processing of plastics (II), especially plastics (IIA) based on VC homo or copolymers, is claimed. (I) contains (a) 35-60 wt.% grafted, optionally cross-linked copolymer phase with 80-99.95 wt.% VC units, 0-3.0 wt.% poly-ethylenically unsaturated comonomer units and 0-19.95 wt.% other ethylenically unsaturated comonomer units and (b) 40-65 wt.% cross-linked graft substrate containing a cross-linked acrylic ester copolymer with 0.01-5 wt.% poly-ethylenically unsaturated comonomer units and optionally other comonomers. Also claimed are: (i) a method of producing (II) moulding compositions; and (ii) a release agent containing (I) for thermoplastic processing of (II), especially (II).
