PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep damp-proofing and water-proofing function of a luminaire having a light guiding plate by using lighting parts of an ordinary interior of a house. SOLUTION: In this water-proof type luminaire, an aperture is formed in the lower face side of an approximately box-like luminaire main body 1 in which a lamp 2 and lighting parts 5 are housed, a light guiding plate 4 of which at least one side face is made to be a display face 4a is so installed in the aperture 1a as to be hung down from the luminaire main body 1 and out put one end on the opposite to the lamp 2, and light rays coming out of the one end side of the light guiding plate 4 are emitted to the display face 4a side. Then, a packing 6 made of an elastic material to cover the whole circumference of the light guiding plate 4 is installed between the aperture 1a of the luminaire main body 1 and the light guiding plate, so that the luminaire main body 1 is tightly closed. |
