PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from being consumed futilely and scattering in an image forming device, by detecting the fact that a developer in a developing unit is removed at the time of adjusting transferring and peeling in the image forming device constituted so that the developing unit and a cleaner unit are integrated and installed in the device or attached/detached outside the device and the developing unit is filled with a two-component developer consisting of toner and carriers. SOLUTION: In this image forming device constituted so that the developing unit 4 and the cleaner unit 9 are integrated and installed in the device or attached/detached outside the device and the developing unit 4 is filled with the two-component developer consisting of the toner and carriers, at the time of adjusting transferring and peeling, the presence of the developer in the developing unit 4 is judged by the output of an automatic toner sensor 14 and when the developer is not present in the developing unit 4, the adjustment processing of transferring and peeling can be attained. |
