A slide projector (10) is removably attached to a conventional flashlight (12). The slide projector (10) includes an optical channel body (14) having a flashlight end (18) and a lens end (20), and a longitudinal light channel extending therebetween. A lens endwall (22) containing a lens aperture (24) that spans across the lens end (20) of the elongated body (14). A projector magnifying lens (16) is mounted over the lens aperture (24). The other end of the elongated body (14) is held adjacent a flashlight crystal (34). The elongated body (14) includes a slide holder (30) between the flashlight end (18) and the lens end (20). A conventional flashlight (12) illuminates the longitudinal light channel in the elongated body (14). Light passing through the elongated body (14) is tinted by the slide with an image on the slide, and the tinted light propagates through the remainder of the longitudinal light channel, and through the lens (16) to be projected on a projection surface such as a wall or projection screen. The flashlight slide projector (10) is preferably made from preformed units (10A) of flat sheet-like material which are folded to form the flashlight slide projector (10).
