The system includes an X-ray tube (1) which emits an X-ray bundle (3) in a direction onto a transporter (5) for examined objects (4). The X-ray bundle hits on a detector (6) which provides electric signals corresponding to an intensity of the respectively received radiation to an image processing circuit (7). The image processing circuit produces an image of the area of the examined object examined through the X-ray bundle. The X-ray tube is a rotating piston tube, in which a casing (9) is firmly connected with the anode (10) and the cathode (11), and is revolvingly stored in a bearing (12) at both the anode and the cathode side.
