SOLUTION: The objective optically active azetidinemethanol phosphine ligand transition metal complex is represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkyl which may be substituted, an aralkyl which may be substituted or an aryl which may be substituted; Ar1 and Ar2 are each an alkyl which may be substituted, an aralkyl which may be substituted or an aryl or aryloxy which may be substituted; M is an transition metal; X<-> is a counter ion; m is an integer of 0-4; L1 and L2 are each independently or integrally a ligand; * means an asymmetric carbon atom; in addition, Ar1 and Ar2 may form a bond to each other.
