PRODUCTION OF POLYURETHANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane useful as a strong material having high strength and low shrinkage at a low temperature region below -100 deg.C. SOLUTION: This polyurethane is obtained by reacting (1) one or more than two kinds of polyisocyanate with (2) 9,9-bis 4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl)fluoren(BPEF) and (3) one or more than two kinds of polyol other than BPEF. Further, (3) the polyol other than BPEF is polycarbonate diol, polyestercarbonate diol, one or more than two kinds of dihydroxy compounds expressed by the formula: H-(0-R)m-OH R is a >=4C alkylene group and (m) is a natural number) or one or more than two kinds of polyol selected from a group comprising polyester diol and polycaprolactone diol.
