PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polyurethane capable of exhibiting high strength and low shrinkage even in a low temperature region below a freezing point and useful as a raw material of a cryogenic fluid transport and preserving part, a linear motor car, etc., by using a mixture of specific different kinds of dihydroxy compounds as a raw material. SOLUTION: This polyurethane has a repeating unit of, e.g. formula I [X is alkylene, an (alkyl substituted) cycloalkylene or the like] and formula II R is a >=4C unsaturated bond-containing hydrocarbon bifunctional group; (m)>=1}, and is obtained by reacting (A) polysocyanate (e.g. a compound of the formula: OCN-X-NCO) with (B) 9,9-bis[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]fluorene and (C) a compound of the formula: H-(O-R)m-OH.
