PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polyamide as a non-migratory substance capable of flexibilizing polyamides, having high flexibilizing effect and having favorable low-temperature behavior and good hydrolysis resistance as well by polymerization (polycondensation) through the addition of specific dimer diol and/or the corresponding OH-terminated polyester. SOLUTION: This polyamide is obtained by polycondensation and/or polymerization between polyamide-forming monomers through the addition of (A) 5-50 wt.% of a dimer diol with a molecular weight of 400-1,000 and/or (B) the corresponding OH-terminated polyester; wherein it is preferable that the component A contains 36C and/or 44C diol (s) at >=90 wt.% and has a hydroxy number of 195-205 mgKOH/g, and the component B is prepared by condensation reaction with 4-44C aliphatic and/or aromatic dicarboxylic acid.
