PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the cutting position in response to a printing speed, to improve the cutting position adjusting speed when printing at a high speed, and to prevent the meandering and cutting of a paper when printing at a low speed in a rotary press provided with a cutting position adjusting device for adjusting the paper sheets cutting position after printing. SOLUTION: This rotary press is provided with a paper feeding unit 1 for feeding the winding paper 2, a printing unit 3 for printing the winding paper 2 fed from the paper feeding unit 1, a carrying unit 100 for carrying the winding paper 2 printed by the printing unit 3, a cutting unit 4 for cutting the winding paper 2 carried by the carrying unit 3 at the predetermined length, a cutting position adjusting unit 6 for adjusting the cutting position of the winding paper 2 to be cut by the cutting unit 4, a printing speed detecting unit 8 for detecting the printing speed of the printing unit 3, and a control unit 15 for deciding the operation mode of the cutting position adjusting unit 6 on the basis of the printing speed detected by the printing speed detecting unit 8 and for controlling the cutting position adjusting unit 6 to adjust the cutting position with the decided operation mode. |
