This invention relates to an impromptu mode conversion and an information/communication device capable of performing impromptu mode conversion. The information/communication device comprises an impulse detector and a notifying mode controller and an impulse detector. The impulse detector generates an impulse sensing signal by sensing an exterior impulse. The notifying mode controller converts the notifying mode to one mode selected from the group consisting of a mute mode having a vibration mode, a light mode, a combination of the vibration mode and the light mode and a call mode or turns the terminal off corresponding to the impulse sensing signal. The notifying mode can be reset or returned to a predetermined notifying mode after a predetermined time. Also the immediately converting notifying mode can be set to a disable state by a user. Referring to another preferred embodiment, the impulse detector can comprise an impulse switch and a detector for forming a current loop through the impulse switch and the detector or can be composed of a piezoelectric device. |
