<p>A metadata schema supplied through a metadata schema input (201) is stored in a metadata schema memory (202). Metadata is supplied through a metadata input (203). Another metadata schema is supplied to the metadata input (203), which converts the metadata into a data structure compatible with the metadata schema structure and supplies it to a metadata memory (205). Metadata schema/metadata coder (204) converts the metadata schema and the metadata supplied from the memories (202, 205), respectively, into a predetermined transmission format. A transmitter (206) multiplexes the output from the coder (204) and the contents data stored in a contents data memory (207) to form a signal for transmission.</p> |
