PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent criticality, reduce the labor of workers, eliminate exposure problem and shorten work time by replacing the conventional wet grinding with dry grinding, peeling grinding chips and recovering with a dust collector for a purifying method of removing grinding chips after the grinding fabrication of mixed oxide fuel (MOX fuel pellets) with high radiation dose concerning plutonium. SOLUTION: After dry-grinding of MOX fuel pellets with a grinder 3, grinding chips are pealed from MOX fuel pellets with air flow or a brush and the pellet surface is purified during passing a dry pellet purifying shell body 5. The pealed grinding chips are sucked in the operated dust collector 8 through a duct 9 and collected. Then the MOX fuel pellet is exhausted from the dry pellet purifying shell body 5 to the inspection process and the like.
