<p>A method for coating paperboard (14) comprising heating paperboard (14) to a temperature sufficient to remove at least some moisture from the paperboard (14) at a heating station (20); applying an aqueous dispersion of at least one water-dispersible polymer to the paperboard (14) at a coating station (24); heating the paperboard (14) to at least partially cure the water-dispersible polymer atdrying stations (26, 30); and cooling the paperboard (14) to at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit to reduce the tackiness of the cured water-dispersible polymer.</p> |
