PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing starting device capable of achieving a high speed process using a laser beam as a peripheral device for computers. SOLUTION: This device comprises a central processing means, a starting means group including a plurality of starting devices, a starting selection means for selecting the starting means, an imaging means group including a plurality of imaging devices, a synchronous selection means for selecting a synchronous signal sent out from the imaging means group, a synchronous means for synchronization by the selected synchronous signal, a starting time setting means for setting the time until generation of a trigger, a starting time measuring means for measuring the time passed until the generation of a trigger, and a trigger generating means for commanding the start of a printing operation for the device as a whole, wherein a plurality of the optional synchronous means can be selected by a central processing unit.
