PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of ink being left on the ejection opening face by exhibiting a function similar to the wiping operation of a plurality of blades of different shapes by simply repeating the wiping operation without requiring a plurality of blades thereby enhancing the wiping effect. SOLUTION: At the end part 22 of a blade 15 for wiping the ejection opening face 81 of a recording head 3, a recess 25 is formed substantially in the center on one side and recesses 26 are formed at the opposite side parts on the other side or the opposite side parts are made thin partially thus differentiating the shape on the surface and rear surface.
