PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such a problem with an outboard that cooling water may not be smoothly drained from a drain port on the lower side of a lowermost cylinder when a rudder is tilted up and moved laterally when a water- cooled engine of V-type in plan view is mounted. SOLUTION: In this water-cooled V-type engine outboard, the vertical V-type water-cooled engine 5 in which a plurality rows of cylinders are disposed in V-shape in plan view is mounted on a hull with a cylinder head facing rearward and a crankcase facing forward so as to be tilted about the horizontal axis thereof and steered about the vertical axis thereof.
