PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital audio sound recording apparatus where reproduction of Audio CD and data extraction can be performed in parallel or in conjunction with each other. SOLUTION: Two FIFO units are prepared, and one of them is used for reproduction and the other is used for data extraction (ripping). Since read of audio data from a CD drive 5 is performed at a speed sufficiently higher than the reproduction speed, reproduction and data extraction can be performed in parallel while buffering the data to the FIFO units 1 and 2. It is also possible to perform reproduction and data extraction completely separately, to reproduce data on a track under data extraction for checking, or to carry out, by an operation, extraction recording only on a preferred track during reproduction.
