PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of accessing freely various files stored in a terminal CD-ROM, a DVD-ROM or the like from a homepage, and displaying the content on the terminal. SOLUTION: When a URL of the homepage in a server 20 is designated by a WWW browser 10a of a personal computer 10 provided on the terminal, a program 20a is started in the server 20, and the original URL requiring HTML data is examined by using an environmental variable in the server 20, and a drive unit name of the terminal is separated from the URL acquired from the environmental variable, and a file name of one of files 13a, 14a, 15a is synthesized thereto, and an HTML wherein the synthesized drive unit name and the file name are set in external reference is generated and transmitted to the terminal. On the terminal side, the HTML is decoded, access to one of the files 13a, 14a, 15a is executed, and the content is displayed.
