PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fixing belt by which a fixing belt excellent in toner fixing and releasing properties and in the durability of a release layer can easily be produced. SOLUTION: The inner face of a molding die is coated with a release layer comprising a fluororesin, the top of the release layer is coated with a first adhesive layer and these layers are baked at a prescribed temperature. The top of the first adhesive layer is coated with an elastic layer, baking is carried out at a prescribed temperature and the top of the elastic layer is coated with a second adhesive layer. After drying, the top of the second adhesive layer is coated with a support layer and is baked at a prescribed temperature.
