PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a map information output system which provides a guide map so that a user is satisfied. SOLUTION: The map information output system which outputs guide map information including the route connecting a starting point and a destination is provided with a unit map information storage means storing information of a unit map on prescribed reduction scale for each block formed by longitudinally and latitudinally dividing an area, a guide map constitutional unit map recognition means recognizing all the unit map information through which the route passes among the unit map information stored in the unit map information storage means, a guide map outputting means successively outputting all the recognized unit map information from the unit map information on the starting point side to the unit map information on the destination side.
