PURPOSE: A steam washing method of a drum-type washing machine is provided to repress maximally the water that is wasted unnecessarily to protect a heater and to heat the laundry before washing. CONSTITUTION: A steam washing method of a drum-type washing machine is composed of a first step for feeding the water into the drum for a pre-set time by inputting a washing order by key-operation of a user, and then wetting primarily the laundry contained in a drum(S300,S400); a second step for stopping the primary laundry wetting as the set time of the first step is elapsed, generating steam for the pre-set time by a steam generator communicating with the drum, and wetting secondarily the laundry by injecting the steam into the drum(S500); and a third step for stopping the second laundry wetting as the set time of the second step is finished and washing the laundry by rotating the drum(S600,S700).
