PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of an oil seal in an oil seal structure of a hydraulic damper having a gas filling port 25 on the side rather closer to the tip of a damper tube. SOLUTION: In this oil seal structure of the hydraulic damper 10, the gas filling port 25 is provided on the side rather closer to the tip of the damper tube 11, the oil seal 23 and a rod guide 21 are forced in layers in an opening part of the damper tube 11, and the gas filling port 25 is sealed with an outer peripheral lip 75 of the oil seal 23. The lower surface side of the oil seal 23 is provided with an elastic projection 76 abutting on the rod guide 21, and in stacking the oil seal 23 on the rod guide 21, the elastic projection 76 abuts on the rod guide 21 earlier than the outer peripheral lip 75.
