PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall material having the appearance which has not been available so far and provided with excellent construction property, waterproofing function, thermal insulation function or the like. SOLUTION: This exterior wall material A is constituted by forming a planar decorative face 4, a step decorative face 6 protruding a tip of the decorative face downward in an L-shape, an upper face 7 protruding inward along the step decorative face and the decorative face, an insertion piece 9 protruding a tip of the upper face downward and protruding its tip onto a downstream side, and an engaging channel 10 having substantially U-shape by the upper face, an innermost piece, and the insertion piece, forming a male type connection part 12 forming a recessed and protruding part 4b protruding onto the downstream side on the step decorative face, and forming a female type connection part 21 by a fixing piece 15 protruding an upstream side end part of the decorative face 4 onto an upstream side and suspending a tip on a downstream side, a first waterproofing piece 13 bending a lower end of the fixing piece upward, a fitting piece 14 protruding a tip of the first waterproofing piece to the upstream side, a fitting channel 16 formed into a U-shape by the fitting piece and the fixing piece, an upper face 17 bending a tip of the fitting piece to the downstream side, a second waterproofing piece 18 protruding a tip of the upper face 17 to the downstream side, and a projection 19 formed at a tip of the second waterproofing piece.
