PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake device capable of certainly shifting a parking brake to a braked state before starting a power source of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An ECU 22 of the electric parking brake device includes a parking detecting portion 46 detecting whether a vehicle is in a stop state or not, a brake detecting portion 48 detecting whether the electric parking brake is in a braked state or not, a start estimating portion 50 estimating whether the power source of the vehicle is about to be started or not, and a parking brake controlling portion 52 shifting the electric parking brake to the braked state before power source starting in case that power source starting of the vehicle is estimated while the electric parking brake of the stopping vehicle is in non-braked state.
