<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet having a fully excellent corrosion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The rare earth magnet is provided with a magnet element, and an oxide film which functions as a protective coat on the front surface of this magnet element. This magnet element contains a rare earth element, a transition element including Fe, and B.
