<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of an optimum device for output at the user's request by collecting information on devices capable of output, capacity of output environment and input document information by preflight check beforehand. <P>SOLUTION: Printers capable of output in environment where preflight check and RIP are operated, and their ability are collected to form a database beforehand, and the kinds and contents of input PDL are collected by preflight check.
