<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electroluminescent display device comprises a substrate provided with a display area and a terminal part, and a sealing substrate at least sealing the display area together with the substrate by using a sealing material. The sealing material is applied at least at a part of an end part of outermost contour of the substrate.
