<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a steering wheel fitted with an operation part for a car-mounted device, capable of enhancing the operating easiness of the operation part without degrading the driver's visibility to the environment outside the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A display 4 is installed on an instrument panel 1 assuring good ahead visibility for the driver, and an operation switch 41 of the car-mounted device is installed in the stationary part 22 of a pad part 12 of the steering wheel W fitted with a doughnut-shaped airbag.
