PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device efficiently usable in registration of information from the terminal device to a host system. SOLUTION: A PDA 70 includes an input control part 102, a registration request part 104, a receipt processing part 106, a registration confirmation part 108, a receipt/transmission part 112, and a display input part 72. When the registration request part 104 provides a registration request to the host system, the input control part 102 stops provision of an input function for the display input part 72 and restarts the input function for the display input part 72 when the receipt processing part 106 receives notice of completion of information registration from the host system. In receipt of the completion notice of the permanent registration of the information from the host system, the registration confirmation part 108 carries out confirmation processing for information registration. In this way, the display input part 72 is enabled on the PDA 70 side in receipt of temporary registration without respect to the permanent registration processing in the host system, and a user can restarts input operation.
