PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biting release structure of a lid for an underground structure capable of securely preventing flowing-in of rainwater into the underground structure by achieving satisfactory water cut-off performance and releasing biting of a lid main body without requiring an exclusive bar. SOLUTION: A bar hole 7 is formed on a central side more than an outer peripheral fringe of the lid main body 3 to ensure the water cut-off performance between a receiving frame 2 and the lid main body. A fulcrum pressing hole 61 is formed so as to be continuous from the bar hole 7 onto an outer peripheral side of the lid main body 3. A movable fulcrum member 65 is supported in the fulcrum pressing hole 61 so as to move vertically. A stopper face 64 on which the movable fulcrum member 65 is abutted to regulate lowering is formed in the receiving frame 2. An upper face of the movable fulcrum member 65 is utilized as a fulcrum of the bar 41 to release biting by letting upward force act on the lid main body 3 by the principle of lever.
