CASTING DIE AND CASTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain long service life of a die by restraining thermal shock caused by molten metal.

SOLUTION: The casting die 10 includes; a casting plan part die 56 provided with non-vertical sprue 62a in the molten metal flowing direction; a product die 52 provided with a cavity 50 communicating with the sprue 62a via a gate 62b; a cylinder 64 for shifting a sprue forming die 60c in the cast plan part die 56 along the extending direction of the gate 62b; a pressure sensor 74 for measuring the inner pressure of this cylinder 64; and a controller 70 for shifting the sprue-forming die 60c by operating the cylinder 64, when the inner pressure measured with this pressure sensor 74 exceeds the threshold vale of the pressure Ps.
