PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device eliminating display unevenness and improving reliability. SOLUTION: A coloring polymer is formed by exposing and hardening an ultraviolet curing acrylic resin which is to be a pigment. Fine particles of the pigment containing polymer 15 are formed by pulverizing the cured and formed coloring polymer to a state of 0.5 μm diameter. The pigment containing polymer 15 is dispersed in a transparent resin and applied on a glass substrate 5 on which thin film transistors have been formed. The pigments in coloring layers 17R, 17G, 17B and in a frame shaped light shielding layer go into a state of being covered with the polymer. The pigments out of the coloring layers 17R, 17G, 17B and the frame shaped light shielding layer turn out to be hard to dissolve in the liquid crystal layer without increasing processes such as disposing coating layers or the like on the coloring layers 17R, 17G, 17B and the frame shaped light shielding layer. The display unevenness due to coloring of the liquid crystal layer or the like is prevented from being generated. |
