<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an aperture reducing position without energizing to maintain the reduced state of an aperture by a stepping motor and to perform light metering without lowering accuracy even when the reduced state of the aperture is changed without performing energization to maintain the reduced state of the aperture. <P>SOLUTION: An aperture value is decided to set only one of two coils to be in an energized state on the basis of exposure control information.
