SERVER FOR REAL-TIME PROVIDING SECURITY SERVICE USING INTERNET

A real-time monitoring server using the Internet is provided to enable a user to check video data stored in a web server on the Internet in anytime and anywhere by connecting to the web server storing the video data, which is captured by a camera monitoring a remote place, through a user terminal. A receiver(30) receives video data captured by a camera through the Internet. A storing part(31) stores the received video data. A client unit(32) provides a user interface to a user terminal and receives a user command through the user interface. A converter(33) converts the stored video data into a different video format according to a type of the user terminal. A transmitter(34) transmits the converted video data to the user terminal. A controller(35) stores the received video data to a storage space assigned to the user, searches the stored video data according to the user command received from the user terminal, and converts/transmits the searched video data to the user terminal. The controller creates an alarm message and transmits the message to the user terminal through the transmitter when receiving an alarm message which informs the invasion of an unauthorized person, gas leakage or fire. The user terminal is a mobile phone, a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), and a PC connectable to the Internet through the wireless network.
