A vertically expandable apparatus is provided to exactly and quickly control a location in a vertical direction with light weight. A rope drum housing(100) receives a spring rope(102) having a cable for supplying power and a signal. An elevating unit is installed on the rope drum housing to elevate the spring rope. A control unit(110) controls driving of the elevating unit. A fixing tube(210) is installed on the elevating unit. A moving tube(220) is inserted into the inside of the fixing tube and the cable is extended through the inside.
