PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a document feature while covering the existence of not only a ruled line but also a barcode, etc. SOLUTION: A slip format is registered by performing filtering for weakening the feature in the prescribed part of inputted document information (1), extracting the feature values of a ruled line pattern from filtered document information (2) and registering the extracted featured values of the ruled line s format information of the document. The document format is identified by performing filtering for weakening the feature in the prescribed part of the inputted document information (1), extracting the featured values of the input ruled line pattern from filtered input document information (2) and comparing the featured values of the input ruled line pattern with the pre-registered format information featured values so as to decide the format of the input ruled line pattern (3). |
