PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen-containing porous carbon which can balance high catalytic activity and life extension when used as a carrier of a catalyst.SOLUTION: A nitrogen-containing porous carbon that total specific surface area of pores which pore size is 5-260 nm is more than 100 m/g, a content of carbon atom is more than 80 mass%, and an atom ratio of nitrogen atom and carbon atom (N/C) is 0.005-0.18.SELECTED DRAWING: None
