PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a conveyor belt of high quality.SOLUTION: This conveyer belt manufacturing method includes:an exposing step of exposing cord bodies at a circumferential end of a belt forming body formed by embedding cord bodies in a band-shaped body rubber member having ends; a rubber piece forming step of forming an unvulcanized or semi-vulcanized first joining rubber piece having a plurality of receiving recessed grooves provided in the belt width direction for accommodating the exposed cord bodies; an arrangement step of overlapping circumferential ends of the belt forming body, to arrange the plurality of exposed cord bodies individually in the plurality of receiving recessed grooves; and a joining step of joining the circumferential ends of the belt forming body with each other by performing vulcanization-bonding on both joining rubber pieces while both circumferential ends of the belt forming body are held between the first joining rubber piece and the unvulcanized or semi-vulcanized second joining rubber piece. In the rubber piece forming step, the first joining rubber piece is formed by pressing a press die 25 having groove forming projecting parts 30 against an unvulcanized flat rubber piece member 24. |
