The purpose of the present invention is to provide, for an air conditioner, an indoor unit capable of detecting information in each blowout area of a space to be air-conditioned with minimal increase in cost. The indoor unit for the air conditioner has sensor portions 2 connected thereto, and each sensor portion 2 is equipped with a presence sensor 3 and a floor temperature detection sensor 4 which are fixed to a rotating movable portion 22. The presence sensor 3 detects the presence or absence of a person in the detection direction of the presence sensor 3. The floor temperature detection sensor 4 detects the temperature of the floor surface in the detection direction of the floor temperature detection sensor 4. There are an equal number of presence sensors 3 and floor temperature detection sensors 4, the number thereof being less than the number of blowout ports to the space to be air-conditioned.
